About Me!
I'm Catherine - or Cat for short - an illustrator, designer, dog mom and pizza enthusiast based in South Africa.

My passion for art sparked at the age of just 6 years old, when I was asked to do my first "commission"...
My dad was Food & Beverage Manager for a hotel in Cape Town, and they were hosting a charity event, so he asked me to draw a picture that could be added to the menus that were printed out for the event.
​
I remember that blue sky took me ages to complete.

Lo and behold, I've been drawing ever since.

After completing my Diploma in Fine Art at Ruth Prowse School of Art in 2018, I started to take on portrait painting commissions from friends and family, which eventually led to strangers getting in touch, asking me to paint and draw them - how crazy!

Now, I primarily focus on digital illustration, as the creative opportunities are endless!
​
Illustrating is my passion, but I also enjoy doing branding and design projects, which I'm lucky enough to do in my full-time adult job.
​
I also discovered a love for teaching after hosting my first watercolour workshop in 2021, and have hosted 4 more since.
